  Truth

  In John 14:6  Jesus said, "I am the way and the TRUTH and the life.”

  I don’t know about you, but some days I encounter stuff that is NOT true, things done that are not in line with truth. So many lies, counterfeits, a lot of fraud.

  I had to spend a bunch of time this week making phone calls to banks, filing a police report,  getting an investigation opened, and freezing our credit because somebody stole our information somehow and created a fraudulent bank account in my name account for which we were about to be charged an overdue balance. 

  There was a real person behind all of that, but a person who clearly doesn’t know truth or live a real life.  I pray for that person.  Part of me would like to declare Proverbs 20:17 over that person….. “Food gained by fraud tastes sweet to a man, but he ends up with a mouth full of gravel.”  God fill his mouth with gravel!

  But Jesus as the truth brings a way and a life that for me means prayer for that person to discover redemption, to encounter Jesus and be drawn to truth.

  Maybe you’ve been impacted somehow by fraud, by counterfeits that ended up not being real, lies that hurt us and others. 

  I hope you are also experiencing the delight of knowing Christ, who is the truth, He never lies, he is real and He can be trusted, I can trust Him with my whole life.

  That gives me hope today!
