Moses responded, “Then show me your glorious presence.” The Lord replied, “I will make all my goodness pass before you….”
Moses asked to see God’s glorious presence. He wanted to experience God’s glory. What God promised was all His goodness.
What a powerful, double bladed sword with a sharp point. God’s majestic GLORY, dwelling in unapproachable light, magnificent holy perfection----compared with and described and paralleled with GOODNESS. A fear of His glorious power is healthy and leads to wisdom because He is perfectly good in His perfect love.
When we see perfect goodness, we get a glimpse of His glory that cuts to the heart.
Romans 8:28 says that God is working all things to the good for those who love Him. That also means God is working all things toward His glory! His glory is good, and magnificent goodness is in His glory.
That is what I’m thinking about today. Maybe that is worth thinking deeply about for the rest of eternity.
How have you seen, or how ARE you seeing God’s glory in His goodness? Is his glory and goodness showing up even in this pandemic? How?
